Currently, it is not a requirement to be registered with a PRO to use BeatStars and we wouldn't want to enforce that at this time. Our goal is to empower music creators and not put blockers in place.
However, that being said, we do understand the importance for music creators to be registered with a PRO and we have made it easy to do so through our Publishing service. We also believe that there can be more done educationally to teach music creators the importance of registering with a PRO and we will look into that.
