We should be able to change our username even if it has been used before and is no longer in use. If the user that changed his username doesn't change it back in 14 days then anyone should be able to take it. This makes sense and should be added in. This would benefit the community by letting their be opportunities' for people that want them.
Thank you for your comment and suggestion. We may look into introducing different rules in the future for how usernames are utilized on the platform.
