When a user downloads a track for "free download" [to determine to buy lease agreement], Beatstars sends an automated follow-up email to ask artist if they are interested in purchasing agreement of the instrumental after 10 days. The artist can be directed to checkout or decline. Artist should have to integrate their distributor profiles and to detect BeatID. It would be easier and faster to find beats being used. If artist gets caught using a beat they didn't buy....THEY GET BANNED FROM BEATSTARS! If BeatStars doesn't pay per stream, the artist should have a listen limitation of 10 plays and either given download option/buy option. After download, the artist is given follow-up email. Then has to buy or BYE!
Thank you for taking the time to share your suggestion with us. We appreciate you for doing so.
At this time, when you offer free downloads you can do so in exchange for an email. With that email, you can contact your fans/customers by using email marketing integrations and so on. This is important for networking, building relationships, up-selling etc.
For some artists it may take them longer than 10 days to decide whether a beat is a fit for them, it can take months or even years. Forcing them to choose after 10 days and potentially breaking the possibility of long-term relationships plus collaboration is certainly not what we want to see happen.
Although we know how important it is to make sales, we also know how imperative it is to build those relationships between your customers and fans.
We may consider your suggestions for the future, however, unfortunately at this time it is not something we would consider implementing.
Thanks again for sharing your suggestions with us. It is important for us to hear them and please continue to share them with us.
