Have some kind of reputation on the page to be able to negotiate and make sure that they don't leave us waiting and eventually the negotiation does not happen

We may look into some potential solutions in the future, to improve the negotiations feature. However, some general advice in the meantime when you receive negotiations, would be to also contact your customer outside of the negotiation process, once submitted and by any means to understand their needs and to help close the sale.
