I purchase a lot of my beats from Beatstars and there needs to be a better way to equally negotiate licences, taking into account cost from the artist/buyer and a subscription for buyers also where the messages aren't limited.

You'll be pleased to know that we're actively exploring a subscription plan for buyers that would include benefits like unlimited messaging and enhanced features. Although we haven't made any solid decisions yet, it is definitely ion our radar.
Regarding negotiations, we do offer license negotiation support, though it's an opt-in feature that producers can choose to enable. If you're interested in negotiating terms for a particular license, We'd recommend reaching out directly to the producer, as they'll be able to discuss available options with you.
