This option is very important because the artist wants to decide for himself which genre exactly he produced and will not be subject to basic genres that already exist. Today the number of musical genres is crazy and every genre has a sub-genre and it is only growing, there should be freedom of choice and self-determination for creation - the way it will work is very simple
Simply in the options, select under the Genre category to have the option editable custom genre and to be able to write the Genre in your own text.
Thank you for your comment and suggestion. We do have a set list of genre options available at this time and this list is always growing as we discover and learn about new genres.
Although having the ability to add custom genres is a solid idea, our goal is to minimize the effort for producers when it comes to uploading content to BeatStars and to help further by suggesting/auto-filling metadata for genres, tags and so on.
However, we will take your suggestion into future consideration.
